LARY 67

August 17, 2017

Los Angeles Railway no. 67 photographed at Central and Slauson, Los Angeles, May 20, 1947. Bottom of negative has written in green ink “KILLE-WCW” – does anyone know what this might mean? Scanned from Negative 119 2 3/4″x 4 1/2″.

  1. KLLE-WCW refers to the collection of the late Gene Kille, and WVW refers to Wilbur C Whittaker. I’ve just purchased the electric part of Gene’s collection (well, the PE and LATL-LARY parts, among others), although apparently this view escaped at some earlier date.

Kille had many negs from other photographers, including Whittaker. Much of the collection will be offered on eBay in the coming months after I complete the inventory.
