Day broke in Los Angeles today with the usual crowded bus stop, people waiting for streetcars and buses that were tied up in the barns and garages by the mid-night walk-out of the Los Angeles Transit Lines workers. Thousands made their way to work this morning with the aid of their thumbs and courtesy of passing motorists.
