Pacific Electric / Metropolitan Coach Lines PCC no. 5002 and motorman pose at North Glendale on April 29, 1955. Four and a half years later, 5002 will be loaded on a flatbed truck along with 5013 for the trip to the LA Harbor in August of 1959.

    Is this Brand and Mountain? there is still an island in the middle of Brand here.

      Yes it is. There’s a staircase that goes down
      into the middle of that island. I’m not sure what it’s there for. Might be something left over from the P.E. days.

    it is (or was) a rest room for PE motormen and bus drivers for MCL, LAMTA, SCRTD,and anyone with the correct key.

    Those were the days for comfortable, clean and convenient public transportation as the picture depicts the neat and nice neighborhood near this station.
