If I were standing next to a “Ten”, I’d be smiling too.
The location is at 167th & Normandie in the City of Gardena. Car 1011 is pointed west on the former Los Angeles & Redondo Railway. Behind 1011 are the tracks that turn south along Normandie Avenue to Torrance and San Pedro. While this scene is still recognizable today, the line to Redondo only extends west a half mile, ending at Western Avenue.
