This photo seems close to North Soto Street and Moonstone Dr looking north and a little west.

Mike, You are accurate with this location. Soto will meet Mission and Huntington Drive just at this point in the current day. Many Neighbors have identified themselves with this image, as it also shows the hills behind Moonstone, Radium, Tourmaline, Onyx in the community of Rose Hills. It is great to find historic pictures such as this of our community.

The hill and community shown in this picture are of Lincoln Heights. The hill is nicknamed ‘Paradise Hill’ for its awesome view of downtown L.A., and is part of Historic Lincoln Heights. ‘Rose Hill’ is further in the background, and lies partly within Lincoln Heights and the other part within Montecito Heights. The community of ‘Rose Hills’ is in Whittier, surrounded by the Rose Hills Cemetery. I grew up in this area, on Topaz.
