    The train is moving westward on Venice Blvd, (16th St), having just crossed Vermont Ave. From the looks of the crowd aboard, this appears to be a weekend train where the war-weary were taking advantage PE’s service to the western
    beaches on a route that routinely carried the highest recorded passenger counts.
