1970s Pacific Electric Freight Lines: San Bernardino Branch in Disrepair
June 15, 2018
Here is a photo I took of the Pacific Electric freight lines in the 1970s.
This shows what kept on frustrating me the most regarding abandonment.

Instead of the San Bernardino Branch, it looks to me like the West Los Angeles Branch — specifically, looking east from Beverly Blvd. at Santa Monica Blvd. after the branch was cut back to Beverly Hills in 1974, preserving access to spurs/tracks 3733, 3734, 3739, and 3741 (from SPINS book, zones 35-39).
