This is a very impressive picture. I was wondering if copies are available, as I would like to have it enlarged and framed.
Note that two of the cars are control trailers. In the late 1940’s I’d see these cars on Santa Anita Race Track specials as they went to be spotted on the east side of Monrovia. They would typically run as the middle car with a combine (1370 and/or 1372 class) on either end. They did have control stands, so they could be on the end of a train, but I never saw one in that position.
