The lineup of Pacific Electric interurbans in the foreground look like 1000-class wood interurbans (Tens). Excellent view!

Must have been a parade in town on Ocean. These tracks were used by local Long Beach cars until 1940 abandonment. . . .

That is the 1923 city hall. The older two-story city hall sat just west on Broadway across Pacific. Next to that was the 1907 Southern Pacific Mission-style station which had served trains coming in from the west end on the street. There is an aerial image which captures all of this during the construction phase of new city hall. The SP station survived until 2016 when it was destroyed in a fire where it had been relocated (yet again) to a park site in 2015.
