Wow! This the first photo I’ve ever seen of a PCC in the Northern District! I knew some of them went on excursions in the Southern District, but I never saw one on the Monrovia Glendora Line (had one come out to Monrovia in 1941, I would have been too young to notice it). I notice that the car has an “Oak Knoll” dash sign in the window and the head sign reads Los Angeles, so it was probably a revenue trip. Must have been quite a surprise to passengers who were expecting an 1100.
