This shot appears at 4th & Olympic in Santa Monica. It was called tool house. The spur in the back went to the long wharf. In the early 50’s a box motor sat there in the after noon. I once got a ride from there to the Ocean Park car and then on the Venice Short Line to Sepulveda & Venice Blvd. The proposed Expose Line is planned just behind this photo. The early LA & Independence & SP later had their termminals. across 4th street where Sears is today.
Why is the destination board reading “Los Angeles” on this outbound car?
