A Pacific Electric tower car passes in front of the Wilmington Pacific Electric and Southern Pacific passenger and freight station.

This particular “tower car” was the trolley wire greaser, it applied grease to the trolley. See the comment on the Newport Beach line about grease on trolley wires.
This “system unique” car, 00150, had regular rounds on the PE. On Monday afternoons, it would be on the Monrovia-Glendora Line. Since it did not have 1200-volt capability, Tower Car 00157 was fitted with a greasing pole; traces of this function are still visible on this car at OERM. 00150 is also at OERM, but is stored out of public view in Barn 7.
