  This photograph was taken from Long Beach Blvd. looking south, close to Fourth or Fifth Street. The Sears is long gone, the post office, the building with the dark pyramid shape on roof, is still in use. The large apartment building to the right of the photo in the distance is still in use. Just about every other building has been replaced, the toy store, Frances and Western Auto for example. The Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, far in the distance at the end of the street, is also long gone along with the rainbow pier and the Pike.
