This station outlasted the railway by several years. The track remained in service for diesel-powered freight after passenger service quit in 1951, and the station was still there in the 1960s after the track was removed.
There is now an historical marker commemorating the location of the PE station. The two-story building across the street, which was there when the PE arrived in 1907, is still standing.
