This car had the distinction of going to Long Beach on the PE line in 1960. LAMTA borrowed a set of standard-gauge trucks from SF Muni (car 1024) and ran test trips in Feb. 1960. According to one report, the car did not do well on the rough track and the whole experiment was regarded by many observers as a publicity stunt.
