314 is preserved in running condition at Orange Empire, but needs body work before it’s ready for operation outside of special events.
Is this shot looking east? Would anyone know the date the photo was taken? Great to see a shot of 314 in regular service.
I believe the camera is looking south-east. In the distance you can see cars on the storage track which was on the southern side of the main track. The station is out of view to the right. Number 314 is positioned to depart northward for Los Angeles.
It’s not in this photo gallery, but there’s a picture of 418 somewhere west of here on the Bellflower Line in one of the Interurbans Specials. The scene almost looks like the OERM main line north of Oil Junction.
