PE 331 would be sold to MGM Studios in Culver City, along with two other Birneys, for use as a movie “prop”. In 1965 it would become part of the Orange Empire collection, along with 332. It needs body work, but it does run.

Although the last Red Car left the Pasadena Car House in 1951, the building remained in service for buses until 1971, when earthquake damage led to the structure being condemned and demolished. The site is now occupied by a hotel, where my wife and I have attended business meetings.
