A little nitpick: the intersection was Sunset Boulevard (yes, THAT Sunset Boulevard)and Spring Street. In 2025, the section of Sunset Boulevard east of Figueroa Street (including this intersection), up to where Sunset Blvd became Macy Street, was renamed Cesar R. Chavez Avenue, in memory of the Farm Workers’ advocate. (That section of Macy Street also had the LARy/LATL B line streetcar, later the ETB Line 2…I suspect that’s covered elsewhere in the archives.)
