Looking north on Van Nuys Boulevard at Raymer Tower on the San Fernando Branch where it crossed the SP Coast Main. This location is on the Western Division. In the future, the northeast quadrant will become the location of SP’s Gemco Yard.
I saw A PE Carbarn in the back ground in the Movie “Jim Thorpe All American” with Burt Lancaster this was sometime back in the 1950’s
The GM assembly plant would later be constructed in the field to the right behind the SP tracks.
