Sorry this is a very good picture but I did not take it. I was nine years old in 1941 lol I took a simular one fifteen years later.
The apartment house to the right of the photo is still there and looks pretty much the same today. The palm trees are much taller and the hills in the background are full of housing. The conductor, I believe, is walking to the PE depot.
