Box Motors 1465 and 1463
Pacific Electric box motors nos. 1465 and 1463 roll down the Southern Division main line near Watts, on the way to San Pedro. Number 1465 was one of two large box motors acquired from the Southern Pacific’s Bay Area operation.

The body of 1465 survived into the 1970’s as a building in SP’s Bakersfield Yard. It was painted yellow and brown (standard SP wayside structure colors), but the number was still visible on one end, showing through the paint.
