Pacific Electric interurban no. 314 pauses at Watts as part of Long Beach Limited service on the Southern Division in 1949. Photographer Robert Loewing was a motorman with the Pacific Electric, starting in 1942 in mainly the Western District; he ultimately retired from the RTD around 1981.

This car is preserved in running condition at Orange Empire Ry. Museum. It is presently stored (not on public display) and is receiving much-needed repair work, especially window replacement.
It’s great that PE no. 314 still exists today. I’ve seen photos of 314 at OERM and it is a real beauty.
