This is only a few blocks west of the present site of the Arcadia City Hall, where the Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority today selected the Kiewit-Parsons joint venture to built the new electric railway from Arcadia to Azusa, following the former Santa Fe 2nd District. And Alan Weeks, who took these sad photos, was there to witness an important step in restoring rail service to my home town of Monrovia.
