This is northeast of Huntington Dr. The switchstand just beyond the signal base is for the former SP Duarte Branch, also known as the Day & Night spur. Today’s Santa Clara Ave. follows the spur; the area behind 1145 is all built up and there are no traces of the PE line. The wooded area behind the signal was the site of PE’s Arcadia facilites, which included the substation (on the west side of Santa Anita Ave.), housing for the track crews, and shed for their motor cars.
