I hate to admit it, but I think 2700 was the “sample bus” that I saw in front of the Monrovia Public Library in 1951 when PE was about to abandon rail passenger service to my home town. PE representatives set up a card table with leaflets touting the “advantages” of motor coaches, such as being able to drive around obstructions. Not sure if this is still the case, but I think 2700 is preserved, either by Metro or a private collector.
