Actually, PCC 5014 is heading westbound on Broadway approaching Glendale Ave (note Glendale City Hall tower just past the Thrifty Drug Store sign). The paint scheme of this PCC car is pre-Metropolitan Coach Lines, so the picture was probably taken prior to 1953.

As well as the paint on the PCC, look at the automobiles, there are no post war cars. That would make this picture 1946 or prior.

The picture was taken at Broadway and Everett looking west and must have been prior to December 24, 1946.

    – thanks to all for the corrections! that’s what makes this site great – good memories! – ed.

The PCL paint job on the Glendale City Lines bus would indicate early to mid 40’s
