5001 Crossing Fletcher Bridge

A pair of Pacific Electric streamline PCC cars (headed by no. 5001) cross the picturesque Fletcher Drive bridge on the Glendale-Burbank line. This northbound train is passing the famous Currie’s Ice Cream Parlor which was just below, at Riverside Drive.

Riverside Dr. rather than San Fernando Rd. Also it seems like it’s later in the 50’s with the style of cars on the Riverside Dr. – Google Maps link

    – thanks, Greg! – ed.

Eric – No, its a restaurant of some sort. I can’t remember the name. Curries was on the same corner as the old abandon steps are that lead up to the Fletcher Drive stop.
