The City of Long Beach commissioned local artist Patrick Vogel to create this rendition of Pacific Electric no. 1001 as a new installation at the refurbished Orizaba Park, which is bisected by the former Southern District main line. The park is off of Anaheim Street and is bisected by the former Newport Balboa branch, not the Souther District main line. Newport Balboa left the main just north of Willow where the MTA Blue Line Willow Station is today.
