Pacific Electric streetcar no. 5061 pauses (possibly as part of a railfan special) at a Sunkist Lemons packing house somewhere in the Northern District. Note the Pacific Fruit Express reefer positioned on the siding.

I think this was a fantrip on the Whittier line. Passenger service was long gone, and freight would be either abandoned or dieselized soon. Not sure of the date, but it was probably after the Northern District was abandoned. Note that I wasn’t there, but photos from this trip are shown at ERHA and PRS from time to time.

This is the packing house at the end of the Leffingwell Spur. The spur connected with the Yorba Linda line between Los Nietos and La Habra.

    Steve and Mike,

This is the Leffingwell Lemon Association on Santa Gertrudes Street in Whittier.
Today this is very near the Whittwood Shopping Center on Whittier Blvd in East Whittier.

I see you have located this under the NORTHERN DISTRICT.
The Yorba Linda Line was actually in the Southern District.
