Looks like the Bellflower line but where exactly?

This looks more like the area north of Long Beach–I remember seeing some old oilfield machinery when observing construction of the Blue Line. The dash sign on the “Green Machine” (now on display at Travel Town in Griffith Park) appears to be a fan-trip special.

    Bob,
When was the 1543 painted green?

I’m sure it was looong after the Santa Ana line was single tracked to Bellflower!
This picture is in Double Track with full height automatic block signals, which were only between Dominguez Jct. and North Long Beach, so I think you are right on.

I think I should have said “South of Watts, and North Long Beach,” instead of Dominguez Jct.

According to “Interubans Special 36”, the 1543 became the “Green Blimp” in mid 1960, quite a while after the Bellflower line closed.
