Pacific Electric combination baggage / express and passenger car no. 1373 rolls along Fourth Street in Santa Ana, bound for Los Angeles. A local Santa Ana Bus Lines unit stops at the corner to pick up passengers.

The 1373 is Westbound On Forth Street at Main Street. Note the tracks that junction North on Main Street towards the City of Orange.

1373 was in a grade crossing collision at Fifth Ave. on the Monrovia-Glendora Line back in 1939. The car had minor body damage, but the semi-trailer it hit was scrap metal. The driver was reportedly uninjured, but more than likely was unemployed shortly thereafter. My mother got photos of the aftermath which I post on Trainorders.com and Facebook every now and then. Years later I would see 1373 on Santa Anita Specials, usually with another 1370-class car and a Long Beach Twelve trailer in the middle.
