Pacific Electric interurban no. 1231 and its motorman await departure at the PE Headquarters passenger terminal (located at 6th and Main Streets in Los Angeles). Note the Glendora-Azusa interurban awaiting departure at right.

The terminal was known to all as “Sixth & Main Station” or more commonly “Sixth & Main”.

I wonder what that “ancient relic” to the left of 1231 is, and where it’s going. Could be a “Ten” or an “800”, but the high deck roof and the off-center gong look more like a 200-class streetcar. Since the Long Beach Twelves arrived in 1922, just when the 200s were starting to be phased out, this appears to be somewhere in the mid-1920s.

I agree with Bob on the deck roof car being a 200. PE used 200’s on the Torrance shop train – could it be?
