    This is Central Avenue looking north. The tracks in the foreground are Los Angeles Railway.

    A reference to the later useage of the defunct Central Station is found in Classic Trains Magazine Winter 2002 page 10 Fast Mail titled “L.A. Central Station hung in there” by 1954 eyewitness Richard Speer of Metropolis Illinois whose father worked in Passenger Traffic. In short, a PMT garage facility. A far cry from the content of this photo.
