This photo view, I believe, is Huntington Dr looking north / east. The track going off to the right, now Main Street, goes to Alhambra / San Gabriel and the tracks going straight lead to Monrovia and beyond.

The lack of Eclipse fenders would indicate that this is after World War II. Two three-car trains of Tens would be most likely on New Year’s day, with the inbound train coming back from the Rose Parade. The outbound train seems to be signed for Pasadena via Short Line–going to the Rose Bowl game, perhaps?

Aside from Sierra Vista being on the border between Los Angeles and Alhambra, nine 10s active at one time on the North this late in time sure does look like 3 New Year’s day specials. Probably right after WWII from looking at all the pre-war autos.
