I believe this location is at 6th Street and Rampart Blvd. The 1270 is heading south on Rampart and turning left (east) onto 6th Street. Many of the building in the background are still standing there on the west side of Rampart Blvd. – Steve Crise

Most likely a R Line car headed North on Vermont Ave. and Turning West on 3rd St. around
    1947 or 1948

Alan – I’m sticking to my story on this one. I checked out the building on the left hand side of the frame and its still there – on 6th and Rampart. Plus, some of the apartments on the west side or Rampart match up as well. I’ll send you a recent photo of the area…

Great job you guys! This car should not be on Rampart…BUT IT IS! Yes, the bldg. on the corner is the same(I counted windows). I think the front sign on the car gives the clue; I can’t make it all out but it is a “short termination notice” and probably to a car barn…maybe 7th and Central. It has used the H Line to short around Vermont. CHEERS!
