The location should read: “Spring and Sunset( now Cesar Chavez)”. When the L.A.U.P.T. opened in 1939 (I was two years old) the “N” Line terminated downtown at the streetcar loop at the station. Some time in the 1940s they moved the “F” Line into the station and put the “N” Line over at Spring and Sunset. My Dad was a Pullman Conductor on the “Sunset Limited” and when we moved to L.A. from New Orleans (St,Charles and 1st streets), my Dad asked my Mother to find us an apartment on the “N” Line; she did and it was at 8th and Normandie (732 South Normandie until 1954). The “N” would leave this terminal and proceed South on Spring to 9th Street and turn West on 9th to Vermont, jog over to 8th and to the terminal at Western Ave. Normandie was mid-way between Vermont and Western. CHEERS!
