Heading Out

The Los Angeles Transit Lines motorman eases V Line streetcar no. 619 out of the Division 1 car barn at Central Avenue and 7th Street . A bevy of LATL cars await orders in the background. These include cars no. 453 (N Line), no. 430 (N Line), and an unidentified S Line car. Already out earning its living is a new Brill trolley bus no. 9124 serving the 2 Line (the destination board reads “Evergreen”).

Nice shot. This picture is listed under line 2. However it is a Line V car
pulling out of Los Angeles Transit Lines Division 1 At Central Ave. and
7th Street. Los Angeles Railway ceased to exist in 1945
when Los Angeles Transit Lines (NCL) purchased it from the Henry Huntington Estate.
Each time I check your web site I get more excited by the quality of
    design and content.
