Los Angeles Railway car no. 873 rolls along Victoria Avenue at Country Club (south of Olympic Boulevard) in this 1936 view. Today, except for the loss of the L line, the street is unchanged.

I lived on Victoria Ave for a couple of years around 1960. During that time, there was a street repair job on Victoria and I was surprised to see that when the pavement was removed, there were some rails remaining that had been buried for many years. During the time the L line was in operation, Olympic Blvd was not cut all the way through, so the L line took a roundabout route.
